Project Concept: R/C Model Boat at Sarnia Centenial Park Bay
Theory of operation
Industry uses Power Transsisters to amplify small signals that are created by computers to make large ships move in the proper direction.
The same can be done with toys and Raspberry PI micro computers.
Introduction of Kirk Charette
Kirk is an Engineering Technologist specializing in electronics since 1989.
His college COOP was at Fiberglass Canada Central Engineering in Sarnia.
He was the team leader in industry for 20 years at 2 universities
The FIRST Robotics lead Engineer for the Sarnia OPG(Ontario Power Generation) plant discovered my skill set and invited me to lead a High School Robotics Competition in 2006. My student team and I won a prestigious top prize in Toronto sponsored by the Engineers of General Motors. My robots was featured on French TV and the Sarnia Observer newspaper. The school St Francois-Xavier (SFX) offered me a Teaching Position and a new shop facility that I designed from scratch.
I was employed as an Ontario Technology Teacher qualified by Ontario College of Teachers.
Scaling up this 10" Hand-size toy to a Surf-board-size attraction by factor of 10
A simple computer can control the R/C electronics. See my Youtube Professor Video Lesson on to how to use 3D Printer to make the project.
Step 1 find an Scuba Diver ... in case the boat sinks as needed to recover the batteries.
- find info on Raspberry PI or Arduino uno
Fund Raising by ETDRI
Kirk and his team can produce Animated-GIF as needed to promote, train team and fund raise to buy special parts.
